Preparation: It is recommended that a template is prepared when many safes are to be installed. The template could be made out of a wood board or heavy cardboard cut to the exact dimensions of the back of the safe.

On wall installation, if the location where the safe is installed is always the same and there is nothing below it, such as furniture or a shelf, then a stand (a simple piece of wood cut to the right length) can be made to rest the template. This will help in installing the rest of the safes on the property in an uniform fashion.

Standard safes all have 4 holes on the back for hard wall or floor installation with door facing upwards (not recommended for electronic safes). When installing on floor with door facing forward, installation must be specified when ordering the safes. The safe will come with holes on the bottom. Punch holes on template to coincide with the holes of the safe. Place template at correct height on wall and rest a level on the template edge to get it into its correct position.


Note: On a hard wall or floor you can use either bolts and sleeves or Tapcons.


Remove template and drill holes. If bolts and sleeves are used, insert plastic or metal sleeves at this time. Remove the safe from the carton. Now place the safe to match the holes and fasten screws by using a ratchet or electric drill fastener.

        The safe is installed recessed into a 16" O.C.S. (On Center Stud) wall. A decorative flange can be purchasedto cover any wall imperfections.

Important: Stud to stud installations must be specified when ordering the safes. Safes will come with holes on sides for fastening to studs.



Locate the position of the studs and place the template on the wall between the studs at the height the safe will be mounted. We suggest a height of 60 inches from the floor to the top of the safe. Rest a level on the template edge to get it into its correct position. With a pencil, draw the outside perimeter of the template on the wall. Cut the wall by using an electric saw or appropriate tool. Insert a safe into the opening and mark the studs through the safe's side holes using a marker. Remove the safe and drill leading holes ( ¼") for fastening screws. Now place the safe in the hole and check that it is level. With the safe in place use an electric screw fastener to secure the safe to the studs. Finally, install the Flange. *



Note: In the event the safe has no holes on the sides, then holes must be drilled through the metal in the appropriate places by using a drill with a steel bit.



If studs are wood it is also possible to install safe by using a Hilti powder nail gun to shoot 2 or 3 nails directly through the inside of the safe to each stud.



* The Flange should fit snugly. If not, use some glue or double-sided tape to secure it to the wall.

For Princess, Butler or Empress Safes

The pedestal is a strong piece of sheet metal that has been bent into shape. The safe and the pedestal are coupled together in such a way that they can not be separated since the pedestal and safe are bolted together from the inside of the safe.

The top of the pedestal has 2 nuts braised to it. Bolts are inserted through the back 2 of the 4 holes in the base of the safe. The safe should also be bolted to the back wall for added security by using metal sleeves or toggle bolts.

Place the pedestal in position with the safe resting on top. Make sure to line up the bolt holes in the pedestal and safe (insert bolts and tighten). Make sure the safe's back is flat against the wall and is level. Gently remove the safe and mark the 2 drilling points on the floor through the holes in the base of the pedestal.

Remove the pedestal and drill the floor for the use of Tapcons or other sleeves for the bolts. Insert the sleeves, then fasten the Tapcons or other bolts through the pedestal securely to the floor.

Put the safe back on top of the pedestal. Loosely fasten the pedestal bolts. Make sure the safe is level and mark the wall through the back of the safe for drilling.

Remove the safe and drill the wall to accommodate sleeves/toggle bolts (clean up any dust). Now install the safe, bolting it first to the pedestal and then to the wall.

Check the safe door and locking operations are smooth or adjust.

Note: Standard TouriSafes do not come with holes in their base. If pedestals are to be used, they should be ordered at the same time as the safes, which will be manufactured accordingly.

For Omega 105

The Omega 105, on the other hand, has a cylindrical pedestal that is bolted to the floor and to the bottom of the safe. Two U shaped metal sheets cover the cylindrical pedestal. These sheets are placed between the safe and the floor and remain in place by pressure when the safe is fastened on the pedestal.
