Intelok North America is proud to offer the TouriSafe M2 room safe system. This system couples Intelok's renowned manufacturing and design experience with a unique locking mechanism specifically designed for Intelok by Kaba High Security Locks, the USA division of the Bauer-Kaba Group of Switzerland. Bauer-Kaba has been a high security locking system manufacturer for more than a half-century and are the inventors of the popular high security "Swiss" style computer coded key (Patented worldwide). Removable Core The Kaba lock has a removable core cylinder which can be replaced if the key is lost or carried away. In keeping with the safe user's total privacy, the cylinder can be replaced without opening the door of the safe. This operation is carried out with the use of a "Control Key" which is specifically coded for each individual property. The core can be sent to the Kaba factory for re-keying or a code found on the core can be faxed to obtain replacement keys. The Gemini Lock The lock uses three rows of key sensing precision pins made of hard-wearing chrome nickel steel. There are 15 pin positions that are activated simultaneously, making it impossible to "pick" using standard theft methods of picking locks. The Gemini Key This high security key is made through a computer controlled milling procedure unmistakable with Kaba keys. The key has no teeth but holes and grooves allowing for hundreds of thousands of possible combinations. A millimetric difference in depth or width of any of its holes or grooves will change the combination. Key duplication is virtually impossible without access to restricted key blanks ant the special machinery to duplicate the keys, which are only found in the hands of the Kaba plants. The key is made of a very resistant metal alloy that drastically reduces chances of breakage. It is reversible and can be inserted in either position making it more user friendly. Key Duplication Security Can a key be duplicated by any locksmith? No! Kaba uses patent protected keys for legally enforceable key control. Keys can only be duplicated at Kaba's factory outlet in Connecticut.
