Following more than 15 years designing and manufacturing room safes for the international lodging industry, the Intelok Group has installed room safes in more than 1,400 hotels in 45 countries. Whether your hotel is a top luxury hotel or a modest inn, there is a TouriSafe that will fit your needs and budget. The safes shown above in our M1 system are also available in any of TouriSafes' other mechanical locking systems and, with the exception of the Butler, in any of TouriSafes' electronic systems. All our safes are manufactured using the highest grade steel, then treated in several chemical baths and painted with a powdered epoxy paint, which is baked in high temperature ovens. The light gray textured color of the safes is accentuated by a charcoal color carpet lining, offering a safe that will combine very well with any room decor. When deciding on a size, keep in mind you could acquire a combination of sizes for installation in different types of rooms. The Butler: A safe originally created to fit into the dry goods compartment of mini-bars, it became a very popular size with properties looking for the most economical solution. Recommended for installation onto a solid wall, on a shelf or on the floor with the door opening upwards The Princess: Large enough to store most valuables carried by guests, this is our most popular size in the mechanical safes. Recommended for installation onto to a solid wall, on top of a pedestal (12",18" or 24"), recessed in the wall between studs (color matched flange) or bolted to the floor with door opening upwards (not recommended for electronic versions). The Empress: A most popular size for hotels that receive business travelers as it will store more guests' valuables, plus a laptop computer. On the other hand, just like with the Princess, its slim line results in an unobtrusive installation especially when mounted recessed into the wall between studs. Recommended for installation in the same locations as with the Princess above. The Emperor & The Briefcase: These two sizes are a new addition to the Continental Line. Both are large enough to store a carrying case and the Briefcase size, as it's name denotes, can also accommodate a large briefcase. These larger sizes are popular with casino hotels while some hotels have required them for their larger rooms/suites. These safes can only be installed on the floor or on a special pedestal (13") that will raise it to a more comfortable height.
